Sphinx Fine Art, named after the fourteenth century BC sphinxes outside the Russian Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, was founded in London in 2007.  The gallery has a dual focus, specialising in Russian paintings from the eighteenth to early twentieth centuries, and Old Master pictures from the fifteenth to early nineteenth centuries.

The Artists’ Collecting Society was set up in 2006 by Harriet Bridgeman, chairman of the Bridgeman Art Library, and was established as a not-for-profit company dedicated to the administration of Artist’s Resale Right. ACS represents over 600 artists and artists’ estates. Our members range from well-known artists such as Frank Auerbach, Howard Hodgkin, Paula Rego and Gerald Laing, to artists whose work has only recently started to sell on the UK secondary market including Phoebe Unwin, Stuart Pearson Wright and Martino Gamper. ACS is a Community Interest Company, which means that we operate solely for the benefit of our member artists and for the artistic community and are delighted to be able to sponsor the Young Masters Art Prize this year.
