The Young Masters Art Prize is a unique, not-for-profit biennial competition open to international and UK-based artists who combine skill and innovation with awareness of the Old Masters and art of the past. It aims to give global recognition to artists in the early stages of their career.

After an extremely successful prize in 2012, with exhibitions at Sphinx Fine Art in October 2012, and exhibition and prize ceremony at Gallery 27 on Cork Street in November, the 26 shortlisted artists were presented alongside three guest artists: Yinka Shonibare, MBE, Ali Assaf and Lluís Barba.  This year’s tour provides further opportunities for artists who have previously been shortlisted for the Young Masters Art Prize.
