We are delighted to announce that a selection of artists from the Young Masters Art Prize will be shown at the Affordable Art Fair Battersea 2014 in a display curated by curators R/E Collective, curators of the Young Masters Art Prize 2014.
The Young Masters Art Prize is a unique, not-for-profit biennial competition open to international and UK-based artists who combine skill and innovation with awareness of the Old Masters and art of the past.
The Prize was founded in 2009 by respected gallerist, Cynthia Corbett, who launched the prize in order to celebrate artistic skill and innovation. The Second Edition of the Prize in 2012 included exhibitions at Sphinx Fine Art in October 2012, and an exhibition and prize ceremony at Gallery 27 on Cork Street in November, with 26 shortlisted artists presented alongside three guest artists: Yinka Shonibare MBE, Ali Assaf and Lluís Barba. 2013 saw a highly successful Tour of seven venues throughout the UK, including Cork Street, Henley Festival and Sphinx Fine Art.
The selection of artists showing work at Affordable Art Fair with Young Masters includes: Georgia Dodson, Charles Moxon,Lian Zhang, Derrick Santini, Rodolfo Villaplana, Eleanor Watson, Jane Hoodless, Bex Massey, Cyrus Mahboubian, Aileen McEwan, Cecile Chong and Chris Antemann.
