Fundraising Auction at Rupert Cavendish Antiques
Many thanks to all at Rupert Cavendish Antiques for hosting our spectacular Fundraising exhibition and auction. It was a great success.
On 18 June to 4 July, the Young Masters initiative hosted a fundraising auction and exhibition at Rupert Cavendish Antiques, 610 King’s Road, London SW6. Through this event, we celebrated the Young Masters Art Prize 2012. Rupert Cavendish, specialists in Biedermeier furniture, textiles and fine art, offers an extensive exhibition space over three floors – artworks of Young Masters past and present were hung alongside Rupert Cavendish’s collection to create a dynamic, atmospheric show.
On 21 June, from 6.30 to 9.30pm we hosted a fundraising reception and auction of selected works from the exhibition, hosted by Kate McKenzie, one of the Christie’s auctioneering team and introduced by Godfrey Barker, chair of our judging panel. The auction was held in order to raise funds for the future success of this not-for-profit initiative. An online catalogue of the exhibition and information about the lots in the auction is available here.
For further information on the works in the exhibition, please contact Samantha Hazlehurst on firstname.lastname@example.org.
